How is this for excitement?

Imagine running a large (many tens millions of Pounds sterling), safety critical defence aviation project on a legacy platform (parts going back almost 30 years) in a CMMI level 5 environment. It includes joys such as DoD Mil Std 2167 and RTCA 178B. Andy will cover some of the problems and delights he encounters in managing such work.

Andy Humphries

Andy Humphries is an Engineering Project Manager at BAE Systems, Rochester, UK. He has a long association with the Tornado Stores Management System Upgrade programme. His time with the company spans the climb to CMMI level 5 which started more than ten year ago within GEC Marconi Systems prior to the merger with British Aerospace to form BAE Systems. He is in this part of the world to oversee the completion of an update of the Automatic Test Rig used for testing the Stores Management System.
