Webinar: Survivor IT - Outwit, Outplay, Outlast: Standards to Help You Play the Game
Presenter: Melanie Cheong, Total Metrics
We all want to improve the way we work and get ahead of the game. When we were in school, we aimed for grades (sometimes distinctions, sometimes a pass). On the sports field, we aim for new record scores and a win (sometimes to escape the bottom of the ladder).
What do you and your organisation/team aim for in your IT work?
Or is it more a case of trying to survive and keep ahead of the competition?
Standards are not for the elite and not complicated. Considering our competitive world, they are a minimum requirement to stay in business and can be distilled to what is most important for what you are trying to do – and you may be able to influence these standards, setting the bar higher for your competition – and keeping ahead of the game.
This webinar looked at some of the standards for our industry – primarily in measuring the (software engineering and IT service management) process space, how they might benefit you (a regular IT team member or manager, not necessarily a process or standards expert) and what you could do to influence them and the world market.
