Webinar: Software Innovation in Australia
Presenter: Julian Day, Consensus
In this Webinar, Julian provided his insight into what drives innovation in the technology sector in Australia and New Zealand. This is based upon his extensive knowledge and experience of running a series of Awards programs where he is in everyday contact with software developers who are innovating and developing new solutions which have world-wide potential.
He explored exactly what he defines as “Innovation”. This is often debated and discussed by the various Consensus Judging Panels and can be a mixture of technology design and process. Often an innovative solution is a “stand-out”, however many solutions require in-depth evaluation to understand the granular threads of an application and why it is different to other technologies on the market.
The Webinar also looked at the key drivers that are important for Australia and New Zealand to continue to innovate, the role of government, and international trends.
