Managing quality goals and stake holders’ expectations
The Australian Center for Unisys Software (ACUS) is a software development organization producing product line software. It is the engineering arm of the Unisys Corporation and is one of the largest software research & development houses in Australia with around 125 software engineers.
This presentation covers how ACUS manages the quality goals and stake holders’ expectations. We will explain the business challenges faced by ACUS in research, development and support of their complex, enterprise application development product suite in a global software development environment. The presentation will cover some real life example including the metrics used by the team and the outcomes.
LNV Samy and Monica Eskuche
LNV Samy is the Director of Australian Centre for Unisys Software. Samy has around 25 years of experience in IT and Software Engineering with reputed multi-national organisations. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering – Honours from University of Madras, India, Master of Technology in Software Engineering from Macquarie University and Master of Business Administration from Macquarie Graduate School of Management. Samy is a Senior Member of the Australian Computer Society & American Society of Quality and Member of the IEEE. He has also published many papers in Software Engineering.
Monica Eskuche is the Engineering Manager – Testing Services and Business Excellence at Australian Centre for Unisys Software. Monica started with ACUS in 1993 as a graduate and proceeded to work on software development and software testing projects in roles such Software engineer, Test engineer, Team lead and Engineering Manager. In this role Monica has been involved in ISO 9001 activities, CMM software process improvements, and managed several Test projects across onsite and offshore teams.
