Problems and Software Process Improvement

As part of a PhD program, Jim Kelly has recently surveyed a number of Software Process Improvement experts to understand the problems with SPI. At this presentation he will describe some of the problems that companies have had with Software Process Improvement implementations.

James Kelly

Jim is a PhD student from the University of Melbourne. He is currently researching the problems addressed by Software Process Improvement.

He has a software development background and has spent over 20 years working in software intensive organisations. He has 15 years experience in Quality and Process Improvement helping companies solve problems in industries such as aerospace, defence, banking and finance, telecommunications and utilities.

Jim is on the ASMA / SQA (NSW) committee and is currently doing a second spell as editor of Metrics Matters.
